About me

I’m Michael Krüger aka “Dromeus”. This is Greek and means “Runner”, as I was an active (ultra-)long distance runner. I’m a mathematician/physicist and worked over 40 years in research and industry as a scientific software developer and project engineer.

My musical education started at the age of six with classical piano lessons, that I attended for 10 years. I was lucky enough that my teachers included ear training and music theory lessons. Later I joined a clarinet class and continued as a self-taught guitar player. My musical interests includes Bach, Mozart, Chopin und Schostakowitsch, as well as Rock, Blues, Funk, Progressive, Jazz and Electronic. In the late 80ies I got involved in MIDI technology for the first time. Since 1999 I keep myself busy with keyboards (Yamaha arrangers, piano, Hammond B3 clones, synthesizers), MIDI technology, homerecording und development of MIDI software. Last but not least I’m a giging musician in a rock band.
